5.6-11 Carrier Assembly Replacement

To remove the carrier assembly (4) from the inside
boom section, provide enough clear space behind the
machine at least the length of the boom assembly.

NOTE
Remove both cable track assemblies from inside
the boom before removing the carrier assembly.
NOTE
Place a support stand at the back of the machine
so the carrier assembly can be set down to
re-sling as required

Before the carrier assembly can be removed, both
cable track assemblies attached to it must be
removed. Cable tracks are removed out through the
access hole in the front of the boom. See "Cable
Track Installation" on page 189.

Preparation:
1. Place the boom in a horizontal (0°) position.
2. Shut down the machine.
3. Turn the main power disconnect switch off. Lock
out the switch.
