6.12 Specifying E-Mail Transmission/Recep-
tion Settings
The SMTP and POP settings necessary for the transmission and
reception of e-mail will be specified here.
These settings are used by the following functions.
• Function for notifying the administrator/registered user by e-mail
when an error/warning occurred with the device or when the unit has
recovered from an error/warning ("6.13 Specifying Settings for
Device Status Notification, Server Information Notification and
Command Mail Support" (p. 54))
• Command mail support and server information notification functions

• Function for notifying the administrator by e-mail when a new
update files are released ("8 Automatically Checking for and

• Function that allows the PageScope Net Care server to obtain job

Viewing It" (p. 74)) and counter data ("10 Obtaining Counter
Information by E-Mail and Viewing It" (p. 86)) by e-mail
Important!
• Before configuring the PageScope Net Care e-mail setup, you must
first create a PageScope Net Care mail account on your mail server.
• Enter information about the PageScope Net Care mail account
into the
E-mail Address (From)
Password
• POP settings are not required (it is not necessary to obtain an
account) when using device status notification and server
information notification only.
