10 Obtaining Counter Information by

E-Mail and Viewing It

With the PageScope Net Care server periodically sending requests by
e-mail to each device and receiving return messages from the devices,
the PageScope Net Care server obtains and maintains counter
information for each device. The counter information includes the total
count, the number of sheets used for each paper size, and the number of
sheets used by each account code. Since the PageScope Net Care server
stores this information and the user can easily manage the operating
status at any time for any device, the administrator of the device no
longer needs to examine the counter information each time by using
this function.
Important!
• You must enable the Copy Track function of a device before it
can be managed by this function.
• Note that you need to configure mail settings before you can use
this function. See "6.12 Specifying E-Mail Transmission/
Reception Settings" (p. 51) for more information.
