SLEEP MODE
When the unit is left idle for a specified period of time, it will automatically enter the sleep
mode to save energy. Follow the steps below to set the time to elapse before the sleep
mode is entered.
Press the "MENU" button, and repeatedly press the

"ARROW" buttons until "Sleep Mode" is shown on the first line
of the display panel.
Repeatedly press the

desired value appears on the second line of the display panel.
Select from "1. 5 minutes" (Default setting), "2. 10 minutes", "3. 15 minutes"
and "4. None".
Press the "ENTER" button.

A checkmark (
selected value for one second, the display will return to the ready message.
To make the unit ready from the sleep mode...
Press the "START" button (
automatically when you initiate a scan or print job from your computer, or open the
front cover.
SETTING AUTO POWER OFF MODE
This unit has a function to turn off the power automatically when the specified period has
elapsed after the last operation. This function is useful to save energy. (Auto Power Off)
Follow the steps below to enable/disable this function.
Press the "MENU" button, and repeatedly press the

"ARROW" buttons until "Set Power time?" is shown on the first
line of the display panel.
Repeatedly press the

"1.Auto off" or "2. No" on the second line of the display panel.
If you select "1. Auto off", the unit turns off the power automatically when the
specified period has elapsed after the last operation. If you select "2. No", the unit
is always powered until you press the "POWER" button (
default setting is "1. Auto off".
Press the "ENTER" button.
