NOTE
Use a standard type of memory card provided by HITACHI. The operation cannot be guaranteed if
a memory card other than that is used.
When installing a memory card using an option license for GR4000, make sure that the
manufacturing number of a device put on the label of a memory card matches the serial number
of an option license. (You can check these numbers using a packing list provided with GR4000.)

Procedure
Connect a setup terminal to GR4000-80E1.
1.
Connect a setup terminal to the CONSOLE port of BCU0 using a RS-232C cross cable.
2.
Start up a setup terminal.

Start up communication software.
NOTE
As for the setup of communication software, see the communication software manual.

Procedure
Attach an interface cable.
Attach an interface cable to an interface port.
5.
Procedure
Power on GR4000-80E1.
Set all the switches of GR4000-80E1 to ON.
6.
Procedure
Check LED.
When BCU0 LED of the front panel of GR4000 is lit in green, it means that GR4000 is started up.
Regarding the process GR4000 goes through until it starts up, see the section "2.2 Other Preparations".
NOTE
When BCU0 LED is lit in red, it means that GR4000 is in trouble. For detail information related to
troubles, see the GR4000 Software Manual Operations - Device Management Overview and
GR4000 Software Manual Message Log Reference.
