Turning the Power On/Off

Supplying power to the CTE-A10
The CTE-A10 is powered on when the AC adaptor (supplied with the CTE-
600) is connected between the CTE-A10 and a wall outlet using an AC
power cord (supplied with the CTE-600).
Note
Even if power is supplied to the CTE-A10, the CTE-600 POWER indicator
on the CTE-A10 does not light. This indicator lights in green when the CTE-
600 connected to this CTE-A10 is powered on.
Turning the CTE-600 on
The following two methods are available for turning on a CTE-600 in a
cascaded connection:
• Push the power switch on one of the CTE-600 among CTE-600s in
cascaded connection. The remaining CTE-600s are turned on.
• When the video output of the video conference system (PCS series) is
connected to the PCS VIDEO IN connector of the first CTE-A10, the
power function of the CTE-600s are linked with the power function of the
Sony video conference system (PCS series). When the Sony video
conference system (PCS series) is turned on, all of the CTE-600s in the
cascaded connection are turned on. Also, when the Sony video conference
system (PCS series) is turned off, all of the CTE-600s in the cascaded
connection are turned off. However, you cannot turn the Sony video
conference system (PCS series) from the CTE-600 side.
Notes
• Even though you turn one CTE-600 on or off, the remaining CTE-600s are
not linked with its power function. In such a case, turn the corresponding
CTE-600 on or off after 5 seconds have elapsed. The power function of all
of the CTE-600s will be linked again.
• If you turn the power switch of the CTE-600 on or off repeatedly for a
short time, the power function of that CTE-600 will not be linked with
other CTE-600. In such a case, turn the corresponding CTE-600 on or off
after 5 seconds have elapsed. The power function of all of the CTE-600s
will be linked again.
• When an AC adaptor connected to a wall outlet is connected to the DC IN
6V connector of the CTE-A10, do not connect or disconnect the cable
between the CTE-A10 and the CTE-600. This CTE-600 may not be linked
with the power on and off of remaining CTE-600s.
