Allow the steering-wheel lock
the wheels in the straight-ahead position. Apply
the handbrake and engage first gear or reverse
or selector-lever position P.
Ensure that all occupants leave the vehicle and
that they are outside of the danger area, e.g.
behind the safety barrier.
If required, position a warning triangle

ard warning lamp
at an appropriate distance.
Observe local
regulations.<
In the event of a puncture, the proper procedure
depends on your vehicle's equipment:

Preparation
The Mobility System is housed in the luggage
area beneath the floor mat.
Use of the Mobility System may be ineffective
for tyre damage measuring more than approx.
4 mm, approx. 3/16 in. Please contact the near-
est BMW Service, see page 204, if the tyre can-
not be rendered usable again with the Mobility
System.
Where possible, do not remove foreign objects
that have penetrated the tyre.
Comply with the instructions for applica-
tion of the Mobility System on the com-
pressor and sealant
bottle.<
Remove the speed limit label from the sealant
cylinder and attach it to the steering wheel.

The connector, cable and connecting hose are
located in the compressor housing.
Using the M Mobility System
To repair a punctured tyre with the Mobility
System, proceed as follows:

Fill with sealant.
>
Distribute the sealant.
>
Adjust the tyre pressure.
