Route guidance

Starting route guidance
1. "Navigation"
2. "Destination input"
3. Select destination.
4. "Accept destination"
5. "Start guidance"
Once the route has been calculated, it is shown
on the Control Display.
Ending route guidance
1. "Navigation"
2. "Map"
3. Select the symbol.
4. "Stop guidance"
Continuing route guidance
If the destination was not reached during the
last trip, route guidance can be continued.
"Resume guidance"
Route criteria
General
You can influence the route calculated by
selecting various route criteria. You can change
the route criteria as often as you like during des-
tination input or during route guidance.
The route is planned according to fixed rules.
The type of road is also taken into account, e.g.
motorways or winding roads. For this reason,
the route proposed by the system will not nec-
essarily be the one the driver expects from
experience.
The settings are saved for the remote control
currently in use.

With navigation system Professional:
The route criteria for guided tours cannot be
changed.
Altering route criteria
1. "Navigation"
2. "Map"
3. "Route criteria"
4. Select a criterion:
> "Fast route": time-optimised route that
combines the shortest possible distance
with fast roads
> "Efficient route": optimised combination
of the fastest and the shortest possible
route
> "Short route": short route that does not
take into account the time required
> "Alternative routes": suggestions for
other alternative routes when route
guidance is running
5. If necessary, select supplementary route
criteria. Where possible, these selected cri-
teria are avoided on the route.

> Avoid toll roads as far as possible:
"Avoid toll roads"
> Avoid routes with long-term tolls as far
as possible:
"Avoid pre-paid roads"
> Avoid ferries as far as possible:
