Alloy wheels
Due to factors inherent in the system, dust is
created during braking, and this forms deposits
on the alloy wheels. Regularly remove this dust
with non-acidic rim cleaner.
Do not use aggressive, acidic, strong
alkaline or rough cleaning agents or
steam-jet cleaners hotter than 606/140 7, as
otherwise damage can
Outside sensors/cameras
Keep the sensors and cameras on the
outside of the vehicle, e.g. those of the
Park Distance Control, clean and free of ice to
ensure their full
functionality.<
Interior care
Upholstery materials/fabric trims/
Alcantara materials
Regularly clean with a vacuum cleaner to
remove superficial dirt.
In the event of heavy soiling, e.g. stains caused
by beverages, use a soft sponge or a lint-free
microfibre cloth in combination with suitable
interior cleaning agents. Observe the notes on
the pack.
Clean upholstery materials over a large
area up to the seams. Avoid strong rub-
bing.<
Open Velcro fasteners on trousers or
other items of clothing can damage seat
covers. Make sure that any Velcro fasteners on
your clothing are
closed.<
Leather/leather trims
The leather processed by BMW is a high-
quality natural product. Slight variations
in the grain pattern are typical of an authentic
leather.<
Dust and dirt chafe the pores and folds and lead
to a high degree of wear as well as premature
brittleness of the leather surface. Remove dust
from the leather at regular intervals with a cloth
or vacuum cleaner.

occur.<
As soiling is more obvious on light-coloured
leather, this must be cleaned more often.
Treat the leather at least every second month
with a suitable leather care lotion, as dirt and
grease will erode the leather's protective layer.
Carpets/luggage area
Floor carpets and foot mats can be vacuumed
or cleaned with interior cleaning agents in the
event of heavy soiling.
The floor mats can be taken out of the vehicle to
enable them to be cleaned more thoroughly. On
replacing the mats, make sure that the seat rails
do not protrude beyond the foot mats, as other-
wise the foot mats can be damaged.
Fluff on foot mats is a result of the manufactur-
ing process used and can be removed by
repeated vacuuming.

ucts, otherwise the fabric may be weak-
ened.<

amount of a glass cleaning product to clean
sensors or cameras inside the vehicle, e.g.
