SYMPTOM
Pump motor will not start, or stops
while operating
Circuit breaker trips or fuse blows
in fuse box.
GFCI trips.
Motor runs but there is no discharge
at nozzle when trigger mechanism is
squeezed.
Low or fluctuating pressure.
Water or Oil leaking from unit.
Water flows from the nozzle when the
trigger gun is in the "OFF" position.
Detergent will not siphon into
Low Pressure Detergent mode.
Water flows back into detergent
container.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBABLE CAUSE
GFCI tripped or was not reset.
Tripped circuit breaker or fuse
blown in circuit fuse box.
Loose or disconnected plug.
Tripped circuit breaker in unit.
Pump pistons stuck.
Circuit overload.
Extension cord is too long or wire
is too small.
Too much pressure.
Incorrect voltage.
Internal short.
Inadequate water supply.
Kink in water inlet hose.
Kink in high pressure discharge hose.
Water inlet screen obstructed.
Pump sucking air. (Prime eliminated)
Not in high pressure mode.
Obstructed or worn orifice.
Bypass valve not operating correctly.
DO NOT USE!!!!!
Gun is malfunctioning.
Detergent strainer is not completely
submerged in detergent solution.
Detergent strainer is obstructed.
Detergent hose is obstructed or cut.
Not in Low Pressure mode.
Nozzle assembly is plugged.
Too many high pressure hose
extensions attached to the water outlet.
Ball & Spring in Venturi stuck.
Ball & Spring in Venturi reversed,
missing or corroded.

REMEDY
Turn unit "OFF". Press GFCI
reset button after it has been
plugged into the electrical source.
Disconnect all other plugs on the
circuit being used and reset circuit
breaker or check and replace fuse.
Reconnect plug.
Allow to cool and restart unit.
See "Extended Storage" pg. 17.
Check that the circuit is rated at
15 amps or greater. Disconnect all
plugs on the circuit.
Use correct electrical requirements
as listed on pg. 4.
Reduce pressure by using
pressure adjustment knob.
Ensure electrical supply is
120 Volt/15 Amp/60 Hertz/Single-
Phase
Contact Nilfisk-Advance Service.
Ensure hose is 3/4" diameter and
incoming water supply is turned on.
Replace hose
Remove kink.
Remove screen, clean or replace.
Tighten all water intake connections
Eliminate leaks in intake line.
Pull nozzle cover toward the gun
to engage in high pressure mode.
Remove and clean or replace.
Contact Nilfisk-Advance Service.
Contact Nilfisk-Advance Service.
DO NOT USE!!! Contact Nilfisk-
Advance Service.
Check; submerge if necessary.
Inspect, clean or replace.
Inspect, clean or replace.
Push nozzle cover away from gun.
Clean or replace.
Use one extension maximum.
Run warm water thru injection line.
Remove, clean or replace.
