The wind direction can refer either to true North, which uses the earth's geographic meridians, or to the magnetic North, which is read with a magnetic compass.

    AWS310/AWS310-SITE Installation Manual M211584EN-F To ensure correct Soil Moisture Sensor EC-5 readings, observe the following installation guidelines: • The soil adjacent to the probe surface has the strongest influence on the probe reading, and that the probe measures the volumetric water content. Make sure there are no air gaps or excessive soil compaction around the probe influences the readings.

  • Page 55 1. Insert the cable in the cable tightening tool. Vaisala recommends that you use the cable tightening tool. The ribbed part of the tool offers a better grip of the cable when tightening the connector. You do not need to remove the tool when the connector is tightened.

    Chapter 6 – Wind Sensor or Weather Transmitter Installation 4. Wiggle the cable and tighten again. Wiggling makes the connector tightening sleeve loose. You must tighten the cable again. Repeat until firmly tight. CAUTION! To avoid water leakage and damage to the sensor, the connector must be properly tightened.

Holding the sensor from its body, run the sensor cable through mounting adapter and the cable slot. 3. Slide the sensor to to the mounting adapter. Tighten the screws loosely.
