Laser Compliance and Precaution
The 700C is registered with the CDRH as a Class II Laser Product (21 CFR Subchapter J, Part 1040). This product has a maximum output
of 1 mW at 630-680 nm.
Caution: There are no user serviceable parts inside the 700C. Use of controls or adjustments, or performance of
procedures other than those specified herein, may result in hazardous laser light exposure of up to 1 mW at 630-680 nm.
Note: There are no controls or adjustments provided for routine operation or maintenance of the 700C.

The FCC permits a maximum SAR value of 1.6 W/kg. For body worn operation, the highest SAR value for the Model 730, as tested by
Compliance Certification Services, are 0.006 W/kg. For body worn operation, the highest SAR value for the Model 730, as tested by
Compliance Certification Services, is 0.035 W/kg.
This product has been tested and meets the FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with the Intermec accessories supplied or designated for
this product. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines.
Radio Wave Exposure and Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Information for Model 700 Color Configurations with CDMA Radio
For residents of Canada and the United States and other countries/regions that have adopted the SAR limit recommended by Industry
Canada RSS-102 and Federal Communications Commission Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) Bulletin 65, the maximum
allowed SAR value is 1.6 W/kg over 1g of tissue. For use at the ear, the hightes SAR value for the Model 700C as tested by Compliance
Certification Services, is 0.368 W/kg. For body worn operators, the highest SAR value for the Model 700C, as tested by Compliance
Certification Services, is 0.782 W/kg.

IP3 Scan Handle RFID Tag Reader
When installing and using the Intermec 700C with the IP3 RFID Tag Reader, a 20-cm (8-inch) passing distance must be maintained from
any body part of the user or nearby persons and the tag reader. The antenna must not be touched during transmitter operation.
