1 SAFTEY PRECAUTIONS

This machine has a number of built-in safety devices.
To avoid injury, it is highly important not to bypass these safety
devices.
If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the
manufacturer this can impair the safety equipment on the machine.
Operators and maintenance personnel must undergo safety
training for the machine. All personnel who handle chemicals for
washing and disinfection must understand the washing process,
possible health hazards and ways of detecting leaks of toxic
chemicals.
Operators and maintenance personnel must undergo regular
training in the operation and maintenance of the equipment. There
must be a documented list of personnel who have been trained to
use the machine. Trained personal must be tested to verify the
training program.

Exercise caution when handling the chemical agents used in
the machine. Follow the instructions on the agent:
if the agent is swallowed, comes into contact with eyes
o
or skin, or if vapors are inhaled.
•
The machine must be connected in accordance with the
instructions given in the installation manual.
•
Installation and service work must be performed by trained
personnel.
•
Never bypass the machine's door switch under any
circumstances.
•
Leakage in the system, e.g. due to a worn door seal, must be
repaired without delay.
•
Before any welding is done on or close to the machine, all
cables connected to the control system via connectors and
sockets must be disconnected.
•
Before doing any servicing or maintenance work on the
machine, disconnect it from the electric power supply and
drain all tanks.
•
Do not hose down the machine with water.
•
Exercise caution when using corrosive substances.
•
Exercise caution when using the machine, as it uses hot
water and possibly steam.
•
Do not remove cover plates, top and plinth while the machine
is operating. This overrules the safety and the operation of
the machine.
•
The electrical cabinet may only be opened by authorized and
trained personnel.
•
Spare parts must only be obtained from Getinge's sales
companies.
