  • Page 3 Step 1: Assemble the Back and Seat Frames Before you begin, Be sure that you’re assembling on a non-abrasive surface, such as carpet or flattened cardboard. To identify which is which, know that the frame with the narrower slats is for the back, while the frame with the wider slats is used for the seat.
  • Page 4 Step 2: Set the First Side Frame Position one of the Side Frames so that the holes for the dowels are facing the ceiling. Align the Back and Seat frames accordingly, as shown here. Prepare 4 dowels. Insert 2 dowels into the Side Frame, as shown.
  • Page 5 Set the First Side Frame (Continued) Align the corresponding receiving holes on the back frame with the dowels on the side frame, insert dowels into receiving holes. Prepare 8 long bolts by sliding on a split washer and then a flat washer. Insert 2 of the bolts into the holes on the back frame and tighten.
  • Page 6 Step 3: Attach the Wooden Brace Prepare the wooden brace, two wood dowels, and one half of the dowelling hardware, as shown above. Insert wooden dowels into the front leg of side frame as shown, leaving the center hole for the post from the dowelling hardware.
  • Page 7 Step 5: Attach the Side Frame On the opposite end of the wood brace, insert two wooden dowels and round dowelling hardware. Insert two wooden dowels into the back frame, as shown above.
  • Page 8 Attach the Second Side Frame (Continued) Insert dowelling hardware post into the second side frame like the previous step. Align and fit the receiving holes on the side frame onto the wooden dowels on the brace and back frame. With a screwdriver, tighten the dowelling hardware on the wooden brace just as you did in Step 3.
  • Page 9 Step 6: Flip it Over and Set the Cushions The chair is now ready to stand on all four legs. Place the seat cushion down and then the back cushion. Voila! DONE!
