5.4.1 Main functions based on circuit diagram sides

1/2. LCD & Keyboard interface
The on-board circuits' tasks:
•
Accepting connection from the LCD, backlight on/off
In case of HS60G the connection is different due to different LCD design.
Furthermore we have provided the opportunity to build in a contrast voltage generating circuit. This is only
required for certain LCD's.
•
Accepting the 50-pole connection between the Interface and the Main Board.
•
Accepting lines from the on/off button.
•
The keyboard interface circuit and connection.
The number of buttons is different for the two devices, but the connections and their environments are the same.
2/2. Printers
The on-board circuits' tasks are:
•
The controlled power supply (IRF4905, U43A, OP3) insuring power for the printer directly from the battery is
found on this side.
•
The burn controller, burn-time controlling circuit (U44B) and the printer head power on/off switching power
supply (U44A) is also found here.
•
The motor driving IC (U41), controlled directly by the processor.
•
The HS80G-L is shipped with the 80mm LTPV345 head, its connections are found here (J7-8).
In case of the HS60G the connection is different for the 58mm LPTH245 printer head.
