Upgrading Windows NT to Windows
2000
In SunPCi II 2.3 software, you can upgrade the emulated drive disk images. To
upgrade an existing C: drive, perform one of the following upgrades:
From Windows NT4 WS to Windows 2000 Professional
From Windows NT4 TS to Windows 2000 Server
Use Service Pack 2 to update either Windows 2000 upgrade.
Note – The SunPCi II 2.3 software release does not support upgrading from the
Windows 98 SE or Windows ME to either of the Windows 2000 operating systems.

Upgrade Notes

Before you start an upgrade to Windows 2000 Professional or Windows 2000 Server,
make sure that you have the retail Windows 2000 Professional CD or the retail
Windows 2000 Server installation CD. The installation will not work without the
retail installation CD in your CD-ROM drive.
In addition, you must have at least 2 Gbytes of available free space on your
emulated C: drive.
Tip – Before you perform the upgrade, make a backup copy of your existing
C: emulated drive file.
