Before Starting
Power Trunk Lid/Hand Free uses the
button in between the license plate
lights, indicated in figure, to activate
the opening once the car has been
unlocked by the key fob or by the
2 "Passive Entry" function.
By pressing this button when the
Power Trunk Lid/Hand Free is closed
you can open it completely or stop the
opening process, invert the movement
and close it completely.
When the Power Trunk Lid/Hand Free
is open, to move it there are two
buttons positioned on its right lower
part as indicated in figure.

If you press and release the LH button,
the Power Trunk Lid/Hand Free will:
• completely close but not lock, the
doors will not be locked and the
alarm system will not be armed;
• pressing again during the closing
stroke, it will stop in an intermediate
position;
• pressing again, it will reverse its
movement and completely open
unless stopped again.
If you press and release the RH button,
the Power Trunk Lid/Hand Free will
arm the alarm system, lock the doors,
completely close and lock.
If, instead, the Power Trunk Lid/Hand
Free is in an intermediate position,
when you press and release the RH
button:
• if trunk lid is closing or opening, it
will lock in the current position;
• if trunk lid is stopped, it will revert
movement and open completely,
unless it is stopped again.
NOTE:
The order of the functions shown does
not represent the sequence in which
they can be performed.
The trunk lid and door locking
function will only operate if the
remote control is outside the vehicle:
• if the remote control is inside the
vehicle, the trunk lid will close but
the doors will not be locked and the
alarm system will not be armed;
• if the remote control is in the trunk,
the trunk lid will close and open
right back again within 6 seconds.

Power Trunk Lid/Hand Free safe
opening and closing is ensured by a
protection system able to stop its
movement when an obstacle is
detected along the path: when
opening or closing, it stops
automatically and then slightly moves
back.
After the closing command, when
Power Trunk Lid/Hand Free starts
