W A R N I N G

† Before troubleshooting gun and control unit
problems, flush the gun with solvent and purge
with air. Some of the tests will require high voltage
to be applied to the gun, so the gun must be empty
of paint and solvent.

General Problem
Cable Fault (CF)
CP-17-02
9060 Classic High Voltage Controller -
Possible Cause
No power
Blown fuse
Faulty +24 volt power supply
Bad power switch or wiring
Possible Cause
Cable Fault (CF) The Cable Fault
indicates the control unit does not
detect a high voltage section on the
end of the cable. The fault typically
occurs at a high voltage trigger.
Return To Contents
Solution
Check the power connections and verify they are
fully connected and power is available. Power
cycle the unit off and back on.
Check Fuses and replace if blown using the
replacement fuses inside the lid of the unit.
Check green LED on 24 volt power supply, when
power is applied led must be on. If the led is not
on, replace 24 volt power supply.
Replace power switch. (See Parts Identification
Section). Send unit in for repair.
Solution
1. Check for loose wiring between the pc
board connector and the high voltage
section by pulling on each wire. Repair
if necessary. Insure both connectors are
secure and re-test for CF fault.
2. Replace high voltage section.
3. Send unit in for repair.
