6. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Warning!
Before starting your maintenance, unplug the washing machine and close the tap.
6.1 Cleaning the Cabinet
Proper maintenance on the washing machine will extend its working
life. The surface can be cleaned with diluted non-abrasive neutral
detergents, if necessary. If there is any water overflow, use a wet
cloth to wipe it off immediately. No sharp items are allowed.
Note!
Do not use formic acid and its diluted solvents or equivalent, such as
alcohol, solvents or chemical products.
6.2 Cleaning the Drum
Rust inside the drum left by metal articles must be removed immediately with a chlorine-
free detergent.
Do not use steel wool.
Note!
Do not place any garments in the washing machine while cleaning the drum.
6.3 Cleaning the Door Seal and Glass
Wipe the glass and seal after each washing cycle to remove
lint and stains. If lint builds up it can cause leaks. Remove
any coins, buttons and other objects from the seal after each
wash.
6.4 Cleaning the Inlet Filter
Note!
The inlet filter must be cleaned if the water flow is restricted.
6.4.1 Cleaning the Filter in the Tap
1. Close the tap.
2. Remove the water supply hose from the tap.
3. Clean the filter.
4. Reconnect the water supply hose.
6.4.2 Cleaning the Filter Inside the Washing Machine
1. Screw off the inlet pipe from the back of the washing
machine.
2. Pull out the filter with long-nose pliers and reinstall it
after cleaning.
3. Use a brush to clean the filter.
4. Reconnect the inlet pipe.
Note!
You can pull the filter out of the pipe for cleaning.
Reconnect and turn on the tap.
6.4.3 Cleaning the Detergent Dispenser
1. Press down the button on the softener cover inside the dispenser drawer in position
A as marked by the arrow in figure 1.
2. Lift up the clip and remove the softener cover; wash all grooves under running water.
3. Replace the softener cover and push the drawer back into position.
