1.)
The bass amplifier output transistors will cross-conduct when attempting to amplify
high-frequency signals. This cross-conduction will eventually destroy the output
transistors. This is not a problem in practice because the bass eq. severely attenu-
ates frequencies above the bassbox crossover (about 250Hz).
2.)
The mute inputs have pull-down resistors; leaving them disconnected will leave the
amps muted.
3.)
The mute or un-mute requires about 10msec to take effect.
