Issue the command:

Within 500msec, expect the response:

>#0001%01
Each text string in the response from the PCB is explained below:
3.6.1 **
3.6.2 >--I6++
3.6.3 >#0001%01
Note that any deviation from this initial boot prompt constitutes an error of some
sort. A detailed listing of error codes is included in Appendix A.
Note also that the "I6" error will show up on the first power-up only. The second
power-up will elicit an "E4" error (EEPROM non-blank, but checksum required ini-
tialization). The third power-up will come up error free, at least as far as the EE-
PROM is concerned.
Due to the variability of the initial boot prompt, test 4.4 is optional as long as test
3.6 is true.
Framingham, MA 01701-9168
Indicates that the microcontroller has just come out of reset.
This is the "error" code that indicates that the microcontroller
found a blank EEPROM, and programmed it with default val-
ues. This error code is normal for the very first time the PCB
is powered up (or if the EEPROM has been deliberately
erased.
This string indicates that the PCB has never been powered
down, and the Doubleshot eq. is currently selected.
