SYSTEM PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS
3.1
In-circuit test
Due to the limitations of functional (input/output) testing and the number of components
that do not have direct effect on functional performance (EMI capacitors, RC time con-
stants, etc.), it is mandatory that the PCB assembly be in-circuit tested at component level
(nonpowered) to confirm all surface mount resistor and capacitor values.
3.2
Active clamping of voltage regulators
Apply active clamping to both the 3.3V power supply and the 5V power supply (at any ap-
propriate point on the PCB). e.g., do NOT allow either power supply to exceed its nominal
output voltage by more than 10%, or nearly every IC on the PCB will be destroyed.
