3.) The serial data output uses 4800 baud RS-232 timing (8 bits, no parity), but with 5V
logic levels (0 = 0V, 1 = 5V), not RS-232 logic levels (typically 0 = +12V, 1 = –12V).
4.) The SPDIF input expects a 500mVpp digital bitstream at approximately 3MHz. It is
recommended that 75W coax cable be used all the way from the signal source to J5.
5.) This signal is generated by the power amplifier PCB to indicate a serious fault with the
DC power supplies.

clipping.

All output channels have a 500W output impedance. Full-scale output is 6Vrms.
1.) The bass channel frequency response has a single pole at 2.6 kHz.
2.) All 6 analog signal outputs are referred to the ground reference input J. Connect this pin to the
measurement system ground.

Measurement and Setup notes
2.5.1 Connect the input ground reference (J5 Pin 5) to the measurement system
ground.
2.5.2 Connect the output ground reference (J8 Pin 8) to the measurement sys-
tem ground.
2.5.3 Connect the speaker outputs (J4 pins 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) to ground. The micro-
controller monitors the speaker outputs for excessive DC offset. Leaving
these signals floating will generate a false DC offset error.
