TRANSMISSION OIL
To check the transmission oil level:
1. Place the PTV on a flat, level surface.
2. Remove two bolts and remove the rear floor cov-
er.
3. Place an oil pan under the transmission case.
4. Clean the area around the transmission oil filler
bolt, and then remove the bolt.

Do not allow foreign material to enter the trans-
mission. Serious damage can result.

5. The oil level should be up to the brim of the
transmission oil filler hole.
6. If the level is low, add sufficient oil of the recom-
mended type to raise it to the specified level.
Recommended oil brand:
Available viscosity index:
SAE 80W-90 or SAE 90
Transmission oil change quantity:
475 cc (475 mL, 0.50 US qt)
7. Allow excess transmission oil to flow out of the
hole until it stops.
8. Check the O-rings for damage, and replace them
if necessary.
9. Install the transmission filler bolt.
Transmission oil filler bolt tightening torque:
4.3 N·m (0.43 kgf·m, 3.1 lb·ft)
