LED on Charger

The LED (1) on the charger may glow continu‐
ously green or flash red.
8.1
Green continuous light ...
... indicates the following:
– is being charged
– is too hot and must cool down before charging
See also "LEDs on battery".
The green LED on the charger goes off as soon
as the battery is fully charged.
8.2
Red flashing light ...
... may indicate the following:
– No electrical contact between battery and
charger – remove and refit the battery
– Malfunction in battery – see also "LEDs on
Battery".
– Malfunction in charger – have checked by a
servicing dealer. STIHL recommends an
authorized STIHL servicing dealer.

Switching On

A factory-new battery is not fully charged.
Recommendation: Fully charge the battery
before using it for the first time.

Fitting the Battery

► Insert the battery (1) in the power tool – the
battery slides into the compartment – press it

down carefully until it snaps into position – the
battery must be flush with the top of the hous‐
ing.

Switching on the Machine
► Set the on/off switch to I.
Side brooms and roller brush begin to rotate.

Height Adjustment of Side
Brooms
The height adjusting knob enables the side
brooms to be set to suit the surface being
cleaned.
► Turn the knob to the required setting:

ces, e.g. exposed aggregate con‐
crete

Readjustment to compensate for
bristle wear
Side broom bristles must just rest on the ground.
Setting the contact pressure too high does not
produce better cleaning results, it increases wear
and reduces the battery running time.
