Tools Needed
1. Ruler or Jig
2. 3/8 Drive socket
3. 3/8 Drive Long Extension
4. 15mm Socket
5. 5mm Allen Wrench
6. Pry Bar
Installation Time:
Approximately 40 minutes
Note: The Motor Fly Wheel and the Front Roller Pulley need to be in parallel. If not the Drive Belt will not run
straight and could cause damage to the belt or speed sensor.
Unit shown is a T5 model treadmill. The steps are the same for a T4 or T5x treadmill also.
Installation Steps
1. Measure the parallel angle from the
Front Pulley to the Motor Flywheel
4. Measure the parallel angle from the
Motor Flywheel to the Idler

2. The Motor Fly Wheel tolerance
should be +/-.5mm gap
2. The Motor Fly Wheel to Idler gap
should be 12mm +/-.5mm gap

3. If the tolerance is out of spec you
will need to adjust the motor using
a 15mm socket and a long extension
on a ratchet.
3. If the tolerance is out of spec you
will need to adjust the Idler using a
5mm Allen Wrench on the Idler bolts
