S/W Introduction The mission of Advantech Embedded Software Services is to “Enhance quality of life with Advantech platforms and Microsoft Windows embedded technology.” We enable Windows Embedded software products on Advantech platforms to more effectively support the embedded computing community. Customers are freed from the hassle of dealing with multiple vendors (hardware suppliers, system integrators, embedded OS distributors) for projects.
Advantech iManager Advantech’s platforms come equipped with iManager, a micro controller that provides embedded features for system integrators. Embedded features have been moved from the OS/BIOS level to the board level, to increase reliability and simplify integra- tion. iManager runs whether the operating system is running or not; it can count the boot times and running hours of the device, monitor device health, and provide an advanced watchdog to handle errors just as they happen.
