USE AND MAINTENANCE

3.9 LOADING PLATFORM

fi g. 34
Use of the loading (or hopper inspection rif. Fig. 34) platform is
only consented when the seeder is at a stand still, the wheels and
safety foot must be standing on level and stable ground (preferably
cement). Ensure that the safety foot has been secured using the
appropriate security pin. There may be one or more safety feet on
the planting unit depending on the model.

3.10 REAR SEED-COVERING HARROW

fi g. 35
Working pressure is raised or lowered by turning the upper nuts of
the springs (B, Fig. 35) of the arms. The lower nuts (C) are adjusted
B
to change the working depth.
With the parallelogram support, the fl exible tips of the harrow can
be adapted in an exceptional way to the unevenness of the ground.
C

3.11 TYRE PRESSURE

The correct pressures are those supplied by the manufacturer
with full load. In general and on ground that has not been suitably
prepared, we recommend lowering the pressure slightly so that the
unevenness of the ground is absorbed and more even seed planting
is ensured. Tyre pressure is given in chapter 1.3 TECHNICAL DATA.
