5 ITS INSTALLATION

5.1

STS/ITS Unit Bypass procedure

To switch the STS/ITS unit to bypass the following procedure shall be carried out on the
ITS panel:
1) Set the A-B switch to the active line (i.e.: if A line is feeding the load then the A-B
switch must be turned to "A" position). The active line is shown on the STS mimic
panel.
2) Set the A-M switch from A (Automatic) to M (Manual)
3) Now it is possible to extract the STS unit while the ITS bypass line is feeding the
load.
5.2

STS/ITS Recovery from bypass procedure

Install the STS unit in the rack and perform the following steps:
1) Check the STS mimic panel for the active source to match with the A-B switch
position. In case of line mismatch set the STS source (as described in par. 2.1) to
the same line as the A-B switch,
2) Set the A-M switch from M (Manual) to A (Automatic)
Please note that no notification is displayed during the setting of the A-M switch
