OutRedirects Sent by the router to a LAN

OutTimeExcds Indicates that the TTL (Time-
To-Live) value in the IP
header has been decremented
to 0.
OutAddrmasks This message sent by the
router to the LAN to discover
the subnet mask of the local
network.

On a LAN with a subnet, a LAN host is
sending packets to the wrong gateway
because it's default gateway setting is
incorrect.
(1) Traceroutes sent by LAN hosts.
(2) Failure in the WAN causing
inordinate length routes to be used.
