Section 2. RS-232C Input/Output Command Format

Item 1. Input Command (Receiving Data)

• Function execution command
1) Tare subtraction command (T command)
2) Zero adjustment command (Z command)
3) Preset call-up demanding command (P command)
• Data demanding command
1) Scale data demanding 1 (08 command, instant one-time output after receiving)
2) Scale data demanding 2 (09 command, instant one-time output when transmission conditions
meet, after receiving)
* The input command is available only when "at the data demanding input" is set. (When set
otherwise, the response is undefined.)
• Transmission procedures
1) Command receiving conditions
At the scale ON (able to receive any time due to the full duplex transmission) except for receiving
double commands. (The succeeding command is received only after completing the response.)
At the other mode than Normal Mode (eg: Setup Mode, Registration Mode, Input Tare Setup
Mode), receives temporarily but executes and responds after returning to the Normal Mode.
2) Response
Receiving a function execution command, responds in the affirmative (ACK) for the normal
execution, or after receiving the data output command, outputs the preset output message when
the output conditions meet.
Responds in the negative (NAK) when verifying that received command is an invalid command,
invalid text or the status is outside the command operation.
When the input text is insufficient, waits on standby, and when receiving the LF (OAH), resets the
receipt buffer memory.
