9. Inserting/changing the batteries

a) Outdoor sensor

1. Remove the battery door (on the bottom of the rain gauge) by loosening
the screw.
2. Insert 3 AA batteries. Observe the +/- polarity as indicated next to the
battery compartment.
3. Close the battery door and tighten the screw.
Make sure that the rubber sealing ring around the battery
compartment is installed correctly, so that no water can enter the
product.
The red LED indicator on the bottom flashes every 12 seconds.
When low battery indicator
battery power is low. Replace them with new batteries.
