1. Einführung Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde, wir bedanken uns für den Kauf dieses Produkts. Dieses Produkt entspricht den gesetzlichen, nationalen und europäischen Anforderungen. Um diesen Zustand zu erhalten und einen gefahrlosen Betrieb sicherzustellen, müssen Sie als Anwender diese Bedienungsanleitung beachten! Diese Bedienungsanleitung gehört zu diesem Produkt. -

3. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung Die Wetterstation dient zur Anzeige verschiedener Messwerte, z.B. der Innen-/Außentemperatur, der Innen-/Außenluftfeuchte, des Luftdrucks, der Regenmenge, der Windgeschwindigkeit und der Windrich- tung. Die Messdaten des Außensensors werden per Funk drahtlos zur Wetterstation übertragen. Weiterhin errechnet die Wetterstation mittels einem internen Luftdrucksensor und der Aufzeichnung der Luftdruckveränderungen eine Wettervorhersage für die nächsten 12 - 24 Stunden, die mittels grafischen Symbolen im Display dargestellt wird. -

6. Batterie-/Akku-Hinweise • Batterien/Akkus gehören nicht in Kinderhände. • Lassen Sie Batterien/Akkus nicht offen herumliegen, es besteht die Gefahr, dass diese von Kindern oder Haustieren verschluckt werden. Suchen Sie im Falle eines Verschluckens sofort einen Arzt auf. • Tauschen Sie leere Batterien/Akkus rechtzeitig aus, da leere oder überalterte Batterien/Akkus auslaufen können. • Ausgelaufene oder beschädigte Batterien/Akkus können bei Berührung mit der Haut Verätzungen verur- sachen, benutzen Sie deshalb in diesem Fall geeignete Schutzhandschuhe. • Aus Batterien/Akkus auslaufende Flüssigkeiten sind chemisch sehr aggressiv. Gegenstände oder Ober- flächen, die damit in Berührung kommen, können teils massiv beschädigt werden. Bewahren Sie Batte- rien/Akkus deshalb an einer geeigneten Stelle auf. -

10. Montage des Außensensors Beachten Sie für die Wahl des Montageorts: Der Montageort muss frei liegen, so dass der Windgeschwindigkeits- und Windrichtungssensor korrekte Werte anzeigen können. Ein Mindestabstand zu Gebäuden von 10 Metern ist empfeh- lenswert. Der Außensensor sollte auch nicht in Bodennähe montiert werden, sondern mindestens in einer Höhe von 2 - 3 m über dem Boden. - Page 13 • Schalten Sie den Außensensor über den Ein-/Ausschalter (B) ein (Schalterstellung „ON“). • Verschließen Sie das Batteriefach wieder. • Der Außensensor lässt sich jetzt an einer geeigneten Stelle montieren, z.B. seitlich an einem Carport oder an einem Mast. Verwenden Sie je nach Montageort geeignete Schrauben und ggf. Dübel. Für die waagrechte Ausrichtung des Außensensors befindet sich eine kleine Libelle (C) auf der Oberseite. Montieren Sie den Außensensor so, dass die kleine Luftblase in der Libelle sich in der Mitte der Kreismarkierung befindet.

11. Inbetriebnahme Nehmen Sie zuerst den Außensensor in Betrieb und erst danach die Wetterstation. a) Außensensor • Lösen Sie die 4 Schrauben des Batteriefachdeckels und nehmen Sie ihn ab. Legen Sie 4 Batterien vom Typ AA/Mignon polungsrichtig in das Batteriefach des Außensensors ein (Plus/+ und Minus/- beach- ten). Ist der Außensensor bereits fest montiert, so ist ein Batteriewechsel einfacher, wenn Sie den Außensensor vom Metallrohr abschrauben (das Batteriefach am Außensensor befindet sich an der Unterseite). - Page 15 Die Suche nach dem DCF-Signal dauert mehrere Minuten. Bewegen Sie in dieser Zeit die Wetterstation nicht, drücken Sie keine Taste. Stellen Sie die Wetterstation nicht neben elektronische Geräte, Metallteile, Kabel usw. Ein schlechter Empfang ist außerdem zu erwarten bei metallbedampften Isolierglasfenstern, Stahlbetonbauweise, be- schichteten Spezialtapeten oder in Kellerräumen.

12. Bedienung a) DCF-Empfangsversuch manuell starten • Drücken Sie gleichzeitig kurz die beiden Tasten „+“ (37) und „-“ (39), um den DCF-Empfangsversuch neu zu starten. Das Funkturm-Symbol (11) blinkt und zeigt den Empfang des DCF-Signals an. Guter Empfang des DCF-Signals Kein Empfang • Die Suche nach dem DCF-Signal dauert mehrere Minuten. Bewegen Sie in dieser Zeit die Wetterstation nicht, drücken Sie keine Taste. Stellen Sie die Wetterstation nicht neben elektronische Geräte, Metallteile, Kabel usw. Ein schlechter Empfang ist außerdem zu erwarten bei metallbedampften Isolierglasfenstern, Stahlbetonbauweise, be- schichteten Spezialtapeten oder in Kellerräumen. -

Weckzeit ansehen Drücken Sie mehrfach kurz die Taste „MODE“ (36), um zwischen folgenden Anzeigen umzuschalten: • Weckzeit 1 (Anzeige „A1“ rechts neben der Weckzeit) • Weckzeit 2 (Anzeige „A2“ rechts neben der Weckzeit) • Uhrzeit Weckzeit einstellen • Drücken Sie mehrfach kurz die Taste „MODE“ (36), bis entweder die Weckzeit 1 (Anzeige „A1“ rechts neben der Weckzeit) oder die Weckzeit 2 (Anzeige „A2“ rechts neben der Weckzeit) im Display steht. • Halten Sie die Taste „MODE“ (36) für etwa 3 Sekunden gedrückt, bis im Display die Stunden der Weckzeit blinken. -

e) Maximum-/Minimum-Werte Werte anzeigen Die Wetterstation speichert die Extremwerte für die Innen-/Außentemperatur und Innen-/Außenluftfeuch- te. Drücken Sie mehrfach kurz die Taste „+“ (37), um zwischen folgenden Anzeigen umzuschalten: • Maximum-Werte (es erscheint „MAX“ im Display) • Minimum-Werte (es erscheint „MIN“ im Display) • Aktuelle Messwerte Die Anzeige der Maximum- bzw. Minimum-Werte wechselt nach 5 Sekunden automatisch zurück zur Anzeige der aktuellen Werte, wenn keine Taste gedrückt wird. Werte löschen/zurücksetzen Halten Sie die Taste „+“ (37) für etwa 3 Sekunden gedrückt, so werden die Maximum-/Minimum-Werte gelöscht/zurückgesetzt. -

i) Regenmenge Oben in der Mitte des Displays zeigt die Wetterstation die Regenmenge an. Wie in Kapitel 12. c) beschrieben, können Sie als Anzeigeeinheit „mm“ (Millimeter) und „inch“ (Zoll) einstellen. Zeitraum für die Anzeige der Messwerte umschalten Drücken Sie mehrfach kurz die Taste „-“ (39), um zwischen folgenden Anzeigen umzuschalten: • Regenmenge der letzten Stunde (es erscheint „1h“ rechts neben der Regenmenge) • Regenmenge der letzten 24 Stunden (es erscheint „24h“ rechts neben der Regenmenge) • Regenmenge seit dem letzten Reset (es erscheint „Total“ rechts neben der Regenmenge) -

• Nach dem ersten Einlegen der Batterien sollten die Wettervorhersagen für die ersten 12 bis 24 Stunden nicht beachtet werden, da die Wetterstation erst über diesen Zeitraum auf konstanter Höhe Luftdruck- daten sammeln muss, um eine genauere Vorhersage treffen zu können. Das Einstellen des aktuellen Wetters (siehe vorangegangenes Kapitel) kann diesen Zeitraum verkürzen. • Wird die Wetter an einen Ort gebracht, der deutlich höher oder tiefer als der ursprüngliche Standplatz liegt (z. -

13. Batteriewechsel • Bei leeren Batterien der Wetterstation erscheint ein Batteriesymbol „ “ rechts neben der Anzeige der Innenluftfeuchte. Außerdem nimmt der Displaykontrast bei leeren Batterien stark ab. Tauschen Sie dann die Batterien gegen neue aus. Bei einem Batteriewechsel gehen alle Einstellungen und Messdaten verloren. Gehen Sie wie bei der Erstinbetriebnahme beschrieben vor. -

14. Beseitigung von Störungen Kein DCF-Empfang • Stellen Sie die Wetterstation nicht neben elektronische Geräte, Metallteile, Kabel usw. Falsche Wettervorhersage • Beachten Sie die Informationen in Kapitel 12. j). 16. Wartung und Reinigung Das Produkt ist für Sie bis auf einen gelegentlichen Batteriewechsel wartungsfrei. Eine Wartung oder Reparatur ist nur durch eine Fachkraft oder Fachwerkstatt zulässig. 3. Intended use The weather station allows you to display various readings for indoor/outdoor temperature, indoor/outdoor humidity, air pressure, the amount of rainfall, wind speed and wind direction, for example. The measurement data of the outdoor sensor are transmitted wirelessly by radio to the weather station. The weather station also calculates a weather forecast for the next 12 - 24 hours, which is then represen- ted by graphic symbols on the display, by means of an internal air pressure sensor and recorded air pres- sure changes. -

6. Notes on batteries/rechargeable batteries • Batteries/rechargeable batteries do not belong in the hands of children. • Do not leave batteries lying around unattended. They pose a hazard for children and pets that may swallow them. Consult a doctor immediately in case of swallowing. • Replace dead batteries promptly, because flat or old batteries may leak. • If your skin comes into contact with leaking or damaged batteries, you may suffer burns. For this reason, you should use appropriate protective gloves. • Liquids leaking from rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids may suffer considerably. -

10. Outdoor sensor installation Consider the following when choosing the location: The site of the location must be unobstructed, so that the sensors for wind direction and wind speed will display true readings. A minimum distance of 10 meters to buildings is recommended. Also, do not mount the outdoor sensor near ground level, but at least at a height of 2 - 3 m above the ground. Optimally, mount it on a flat garage or a carport, for instance. - Page 39 • Turn on the outdoor sensor with the I/O switch (B) (switch on position “ON”). • Close the battery compartment. • Now the outdoor sensor can be mounted on a suitable place, e.g. laterally on a carport or on a pole. Use screws and, if necessary, anchors that are appropriate for the installation site. A small bubble level (C) is built-in on top of the outdoor sensor to facilitate horizontal alignment. Mount the outdoor sensor so that the small air bubble in the level sits right in the middle of the circle.

11. Getting Started Put the outdoor sensor into operation first and only then start the weather station. a) Outdoor sensor • Loosen the 4 screws on the battery compartment and remove the cover. Insert 4 AA/Mignon batteries with the correct polarity into the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor (take note of plus/+ and minus/-). If the outdoor sensor is already permanently fixed, replacing the batteries becomes easier when you unscrew the outdoor sensor from the metal tube (the battery compartment is located on the bottom side of the outdoor sensor). - Page 41 Searching for the DCF signal may take several minutes. Do not move the weather station at this stage; do not press any button. Do not place the weather station next to electronic devices, metal parts, cables, etc. A poor reception is also expected where metalized insulated glass, reinforced concrete and coated special wallpaper are present, or in basements.

12. Operation a) Starting the DCF signal reception manually • Press the two buttons “+” (37) and “-” (39) simultaneously to restart the DCF reception attempt. The radio tower symbol (11) will flash and indicate the reception of the DCF signal. Good DCF signal reception No signal • Searching for the DCF signal may take several minutes. Do not move the weather station at this stage, do not press any button. Do not place the weather station next to electronic devices, metal parts, cables, etc. A poor reception is also expected where metalized insulated glass, reinforced concrete and coated special wallpaper are present, or in basements. -

• Ignore the weather forecast for 12 to 24 hours after you have inserted the batteries for the first time. The weather station needs to collect air pressure data over a period of time at a constant level in order to generate a more accurate forecast. Setting the current weather condition (see previous chapter) may shorten this time. • If the weather station is moved to another location that lies significantly higher or lower than the initial location (e.g. from the ground floor to the upper floor of a house), the weather station may report this as a change in weather. -

o) UV-index indicator The UV sensor (D) of the outdoor sensor measures the UV radiation from the sun. 13. Battery replacement • When the batteries of the weather station are empty, a battery symbol “ ” appears to the right of the indoor humidity indicator. The contrast of the display also greatly decreases when the batteries are weak. Replace the batteries with new ones. All settings and measurement data are lost when replacing the batteries. Proceed as described in Getting started. -

14. Troubleshooting No DCF signal • Do not place the weather station next to electronic devices, metal parts, cables, etc. A poor reception is also expected where metalized insulated glass, reinforced concrete and coated special wallpaper are present or in basements. Test the weather station by putting it near a window and start manually searching for the DCF signal (see Chapter 12 a). -

False weather forecasting • Refer to the information contained in Chapter 12. j). Incorrect values of wind or rain sensor • If you intend to compare the readings of the wind and rain sensors to other weather stations or with data from the Internet, please take into account that local conditions influence readings significantly. Deviations in wind speed and wind directions are caused by buildings and trees, for example. The same goes for rain. • Check the rain sensor to see whether a leaf or two have fallen into the collection funnel, and if so, remove them. • Check whether the marking „N“ on the wind direction sensor points to the north. • Check the fixture of the outdoor sensor; it may have twisted by the impact of wind (such as a storm). The wind direction is no longer true in that case. -
