Cleaning Performance
Vacmaster vacuum cleaners are tested for endurance. If your motor is operating, then the most
likely cause for a loss in suction is a blockage or an opening in the vacuum.
To maintain a high cleaning performance from your machine, it is important to replace or clean
filters as necessary. Empty full dust cup to prevent performance drops. A performance drop with
clean filters can only be caused by a blockage in the tools or the hose.
PROBLEM
Vacuum cleaner
will not run.
Dirt pick-up is poor
or suction power is
weak.

TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The plug is not plugged into the
power source.
The On/Off button is not pressed
to start the vacuum cleaner.
Defective wall outlet.
Motor overheating protection
during use.
The motor is damaged.
The hose and attachments are
not installed correctly.
Dust bag is not installed correctly.
Full dust bag.
There is a blockage in the air
path.
Suction control valve is in open
position.
The foam filter or HEPA exhaust
filter needs to be cleaned or
replaced.
Plug in firmly, press the On/Off
button.
Press the On/Off button to start the
vacuum cleaner.
Check with a good appliance or lamp.
Be sure the power cord plug is fully
plugged into a good wall outlet.
Unplug the power cord and let the
vacuum cool down for 50 minutes.
Contact the After Sales Helpline for
assistance.
Check the hose and attachments for
correct installation and ensure they
are snapped firmly in place.
Check dust bag for correct installation
and ensure it is snapped firmly in
place.
Change the dust bag (page 13).
Check and remove all blockages.
Follow instructions on page 15.
Adjust the suction control to increase
suction. Follow instructions on page
12.
Clean or replace the foam filter or
HEPA exhaust filter. Follow the foam
filter cleaning or HEPA exhaust filter
cleaning instructions on page 14.
