CAUTION: Moving parts! To reduce the risk of personal injury, DO NOT touch the brushroll
when vacuum cleaner is turned on. Contacting the brushroll while it is rotating can cut,
bruise or cause other personal injuries. Always turn off before maintenance. Use caution
when operating near children or pets (Fig. 11).
1. Power Cord - Release & Use
1) Turn the upper cord hook to either side to release the power cord (Fig. 12).
2) Detach the power cord plug from the power cord.
3) Be sure the power cord is locked into the upper locking notch ( ) (Fig. 13).
4) Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
5) Press the On/Off button to turn the vacuum cleaner on.
6) Once you have completed vacuuming, press the On/Off button and unplug the power cord plug
from the outlet.
7) Return the upper cable hook into the upright storage position and wrap the cord loosely.
WARNING: If abnormality/failure occurs, stop using the product immediately and disconnect
the power plug.
2. Operation Modes
UPRIGHT MODE
NOTE: Make sure the vacuum cleaner is correctly assembled. Do not operate vacuum cleaner
without a dust bag in place.
1) Release the handle by placing foot on the floor head nozzle and pull back (Fig. 14).
2) To turn the vacuum cleaner on, press the On/Off button (Fig. 15).
Turn Rotating Brushroll On/Off
Upon first use your vacuum cleaner starts with the brushroll off.
You can turn the brushroll on for use on carpet by pressing the brushroll On/Off button (Fig 15).
NOTE: The vacuum cleaner will remain in the last used brushroll setting ready for next use.
NOTE: Brushroll does not rotate when handle is in fully upright position.
CAUTION: Do not allow the vacuum cleaner to remain in one spot for any length of time
when the brushroll is turning. Damage to carpet may occur.
3) Once you have completed vacuuming, press the On/Off button and unplug the power cord from
the power outlet.
NOTE: Do not allow the motorised floor head to be lifted away from the floor surface when
vacuuming.
