3.3 Window extension

Extension window is used to enlarge the waveform so that users view the image details.
The setting of window extension shall not be slower than that of main time base.

Under Window extension time base, there are two display areas, as shown in the figure
above. The original waveform is displayed in the upper part, this area can be moved left
and right by turning horizontal POSITION knob or can be enlarged and reduced by turning
the horizontal SCALE knob.
The lower part is the waveform that has been extended horizontally from selected original
waveform area. What users should pay attention is that the extension time base enhances
the resolution compared with main time base (as shown in the figure above). Because the
displayed lower-part waveform corresponds to the selected upper-part area, so the
extension time base can be enhanced by rotating the horizontal SCALE, in other words, it
enhances the horizontal extension multiples of waveform.
3.4 XY Mode
XY Mode is also called Lissajous Figure Mode. By using the Lissajous method, users can
measure the phase difference of two signals with same frequency. As shown in the figure
below:
