Problems Starting the PC

Problem
During startup the PC hangs (freezes).
When you start the PC, you get a "non-
system disk" or "operating system not
found" message
If the problem persists, contact your authorized support provider

Possible cause
You may have added an
incompatible memory
module.
You may have added an
incompatible expansion
card.
You might have made
changes to the PC's Setup
program.
There is a non-bootable
floppy disk in your floppy
drive
To try and fix this ...

Disconnect the PC's power cord.

Remove the PC's cover (see page 44).

Remove or replace the memory module (see
page 59).

Reconnect the PC's power cord and start up
the PC.

Disconnect the PC's power cord.

Remove the PC's cover (see page 44).

Remove the expansion card (see page 60).
4
Reconnect the PC's power cord and start up
the PC.

Enter the Setup program by pressing F2
when prompted during startup.
2
Reload the factory settings by pressing F9.
3
Press F10 to exit the Setup program saving
changes.

Remove the floppy disk.
2
Restart the PC.
