Audio board

Description
Audio board (includes cable)
Before removing the audio board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC Adapter from the computer.

Remove the battery (see

Remove the following:
a.
Hard drive (see
b.
Optical drive (see
c.
Keyboard (see
d.
Switch cover (see
e.
Display assembly (see
f.
Top cover (see
g.
ExpressCard board (see
Remove the audio board:
1.
Remove the three Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws (1) that secure the audio board to the system board.
NOTE:

Disconnect the speaker cable (3) from the audio board.

The audio board cable ground loop (2) is secured by the audio board rear screw.
