Performing Daily
Maintenance
Before starting the machine each day, perform the
Each Use/Daily procedures listed in
(page
27).

Starting the Engine

1.
Ensure that the clutch lever is in the O
position.
2.
Move the fuel valve to the O
way to the right

Pull the starter handle lightly until you feel
resistance, then pull the handle briskly

Shutting Off the Engine

1.
Move the throttle lever to the M

Note:
If the engine has been working hard or
is hot, let it idle for a minute before shutting off
the engine. This helps to cool the engine before
stopping. In an emergency, shut off the engine
immediately.
