I keep hearing a loud hum or noise.
Make sure that all components in your audio system are securely
plugged in.
Make sure that you keep your audio system's cables away from a
transformer or motor, and that you keep them at least 10 feet away from
a TV or fluorescent lights.
Move your TV away from your audio components.
The plugs and jacks may be dirty. Unplug them, then wipe them clean with
a cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol.
Clean the DVD.
The remote control does not work.
Point the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the player.
Remove any obstacles between the remote control and the player.
Move closer to the player when using the remote control.
Replace the batteries.
The DVD does not play.
Make sure that there is a DVD in the tray.
If the DVD has two playable sides, make sure that the side you want to
play is facing down in the tray.
The DVD may be warped and unplayable.
The region code on the DVD may not be Region 1.
Moisture may have condensed inside the player. Remove the DVD and
leave the player turned on for about half an hour to dry the condensation.
The DVD does not start playing from the beginning.
Resume Play is active. Press
When I play a DVD, the voice audio is really quiet, but the music is
really loud.
Your player may be outputting a 5.1-channel sound signal, while you have
only stereo speakers connected. Check your audio settings and speaker
connections.
