Installation
3.1

Mounting in containers or tanks

Read the chapter on safety, in particular the section on installation and commissioning (see
chapter 1.6.1) before mounting the sensor. Do not remove the identification plate.
Warning!
Risk of short circuit
Injuries and damage to the device are possible when working with live parts.
Before working on the device, always disconnect the supply voltage.
Connect the device to the supply voltage only after completion of the work.
During installation, read the manual provided by the container or tank manufacturer. The
connection head of the sensor must always be mounted outside of the tank. The switching
point is at the same level as the 5 mm hole on the plastic tube (see chapter 2.2, dimensional
drawing).

Electrical connection

chapter 1.6.1) before connecting the sensor. Do not remove the identification plate.

Connect the device to the supply voltage only after completion of the work.
The assembly head must be secured with a potential equalizer in accordance with statutory
regulations. The loop resistance of the extension cable attached to the sensor should not
exceed 10 Ω.
Note!
Further information on connection of the sensor to the warning device is available in the
manual of the warning device NVO5-11.
