OPTIMAL PLACEMENT ABOVE A SHELF
To calculate the height over a shelf that will
give an exact 45˙angle to the arm in the
down position. Take the shelf depth and
subtract 1.5 in.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE OVER SHELF

In some cases in may be necessary to mount the TV as
low as possible over a shelf. Or the shelf may be more
than 12 inches deep.
It is important to allow enough space for the TV to
clear the shelf as it is lowered into the out position.
The correct mounting height
will be equal to the "Minimum clearance" (see table
below),
plus the distance from the bottom of the Mount to the
bottom of the TV
3 in.
