Troubleshooting

Overview

Operation problems can be due to a variety of causes. The first step in solving
them is to make sure that all cables are securely attached and seated completely
in their sockets.
In addition, updating the product's firmware may solve problems that have
been discovered and resolved since the prior version was released. If your
product is not running the latest firmware version, we strongly recommend that
you upgrade. See The Firmware Upgrade Utility, page 53, for upgrade details.
Symptom
Mouse and/or Keyboard not
responding.
All Station IDs display as 01.
The mouse and/or keyboard need to be reset by
either of the two following methods:
Unplug the cable(s) from the console port(s),
then plug it (them) back in.
Perform a keyboard/mouse reset by Hotkey
(see Computer Keyboard / Mouse Reset,
page 47) or by front panel pushbuttons (see
port selection pushbuttons, page 7)
Station 1 suddenly lost its power. Wait a few
seconds for the system to reinitialize the
station sequence and display the proper IDs.
Perform a reset on station ID. See RESET
STATION IDS, page 34.
Unplug the daisy-chain cable, then plug it back
in.
