Caution! Before beginning the disassembly make sure of the following:
• Negative battery terminal is disconnected.
• Parking brake is ON.
• Gear shifter is set to a lower gear.
Accessing 12V Power
1. Preform the following as listed, see
illustration 1 at right for reference:
A. Place emergency brake
B. Unclip, remove. and retain the
gear lock panel using vehicle key
or panel removal tool.
C. Release the gear lock and shift to
neutral/ lower gear.
2. Use a panel removal tool to remove the
panel surrounding the gear shift panel.
Next, disconnect any connections and
set the panel aside for preparation steps.
