Problem
Steam escapes
from other places
than the filter.

You may not have placed
the lid properly on the
appliance.
The permanent anti-
grease filter is saturated.

is unsuitable for deep-
frying food.

Solution
Place the lid properly on the appliance.
Remove the lid and clean the lid and the filter in
hot water with some washing-up liquid or in the
dishwasher.
Make sure the oil or fat in the fryer does not
exceed the MAX indication.
Dry the food thoroughly before you fry it and
fry the food according to the instructions in this
user manual.
Do not fry more food at one time than the
quantity mentioned in the food table at the end
of this booklet.
Dry the food thoroughly before you fry it.
Use frying oil or liquid frying fat that is suitable
for deep-frying food. Never mix different types
of oil or fat.
Clean the inner bowl as described in this user
manual.
Set the on/off switch to 'I' to switch on the fryer.
Make sure the control panel is placed correctly.
You hear a click when the control panel locks
into position.
The fuse of the temperature control may have
blown, causing the safety cut-out to switch off
the appliance. Carefully press the reset button at
the back of the control panel with a small
screwdriver. Now the appliance is ready for use
again.
If pressing the reset button does not help, go to
your Philips dealer or a service centre authorised
by Philips.
