9.3 Maintenance Schedule

IMPORTANT! For more information, see the engine
manufacturer's manual.
Complete maintenance tasks at the specified time or hour interval, whichever comes first.
Task
Check the engine oil level and
quality.
Check the engine fuel level.
Clean around the muffler and
controls.
Clean the engine air-intake grille.
Check that all fasteners and the
wheel lug nuts are tightened to the
specified torque.
Check the drive belt condition.
Check the ledger knife sharpness.
Check the twig breaker for damage.
Check the drive belt tension.
Check the ledger knife sharpness.
Check the drive belt alignment.
Check the tire pressure.
Grease the rotor bearings.
Clean the machine. Remove debris
and entangled material.
Service the engine exhaust system.
Clean the engine air filter.

Change the engine oil.
Replace the engine spark plug.
Service the engine cooling system.
Service the engine fuel system.
Replace the engine air filter.

2 In dusty conditions or when airborne debris is present, clean more often.
