The scan bar on the instrument touch panel reflects the current status of the System Status
icon in OMIC software. Both locations provide important status information about the
instrument.
This section includes a variety of topics about troubleshooting and solving problems with
your instrument. These topics are divided into the following two sections:
Instrument Problems

Each topic lists steps you can take to try to resolve the problem.
Note If you're having a problem with applications or software, see the electronic software
documentation that came with your system.
CAUTION When performing any of the procedures in the troubleshooting topics, always
follow the safety precautions included in this document and in any of the other
documentation that came with your instrument.
Instrument scan bar and System Status icon in OMNIC software are yellow
When monitoring is enabled in OMNIC software, the System Status indicator in the upper
right corner of the OMNIC home page reflects the results of system diagnostic tests and
system errors.
