Turn On the System

Turn On the System
Follow these steps to turn on the system.
1. Ensure the antenna has a clear, unobstructed view of
the sky.
2. Apply vessel power to the TracNet system.
3. Press the power button on the front of the BDU. The
button's light should illuminate blue.

IMPORTANT!
During startup, the BDU checks the software version
installed in the antenna and updates it if necessary to
match its currently installed version. Do not turn off the
system for at least 15 minutes or while any updates are
in progress (indicated on the BDU's front panel).
4. At the BDU's front panel touchscreen, go to the VSAT
page (2) and monitor the antenna status. Within two
minutes, the antenna should complete initialization
and start searching for the satellite. Also make sure no
errors are reported in the header (see example in
Figure 32).
