5.3 Stopping the truck
5.3.1 Brake pedal (option)
WARNING Risk of crushing the feet
There is a risk of crushing the feet when using a truck with a brake pedal in
confined spaces.
Avoid the risk of crushing the feet by considering projecting parts when
driving the truck.
WARNING Risk of crushing fingers
There is a risk of crushing the fingers when performing the daily function
check.
Avoid putting fingers under the pedal when performing the check
WARNING Stumbling hazard
The operator may stumble over projecting parts of the brake pedal.
Be careful, and keep an eye open for the projecting parts of the brake
pedal when parking and handling the truck
The following points must be kept in mind when using a truck with a brake
pedal:
Make sure that good parking action is possible by checking the steered
wheel lock. To adjust, turn the screw on the brake pedal clockwise using
an Allen key.
5.4 Handling loads
The weight of the load should be within the truck's permitted lifting capacity.
See the truck's identification plate.
The length/width of the forks should be adapted to the load shape and dimen-
sions.
Only handle loads that are stable and equally distributed on the fork and se-
curely arranged.
