Mail settings

Before you can use e-mail you need
to set the access to the server and
your e-mail parameters. The relevant
data may already have been en-
tered. If not, you can obtain this in-
formation from your provider. Details
of provider data can be found in the
file EMail_Parameters.pdf on the en-
closed CDROM or on the internet,
see also
www.my-siemens.com/s45i.
The following protocols must be supported
by your provider so that data exchange can
take place using the e-mail server:
POP3 and SMTP or eSMTP.
E-mails are MIME-encoded during
transmission.
Encryption of e-mail transmission (SSL,
APOP) is currently not possible.

Five account profiles can be defined.
You need to set the account data be-
fore you can use a profile.
